Ryan & Danny turn 12 years old today! Happy Birthday to my guys! Turning 12 is a big deal! Is there really a Santa? There has to be because he is the only one who brings iproducts to this house! because my mom & dad always say no! Its the innocence of childhood vs the reality of beginning to grow up. Its the pull between wanting to be with friends and wanting to be with your family too. Its the pressure of school & sports & friends & trying to balance it all. Its iPhone/ipods/ipads/ireaders. Constant instant everything: which is good & bad at the same time. As a parent its knowing when to let go a little and when to step back in. Its hoping all the values you tried to instill in them stick with them. Praying as they grow up & are on there own a little more, that they are always safe. Having them always know how much you love them & how proud you are of their accomplishments. That I love you, means the world to me! Each year as these boys grow up, mom & dad are still growing up as well & hoping we are making the right decisions for them and learning along the way. My dad passed away a few weeks before my 12th birthday. I vividly remember putting a new stereo together with my mom & godfather & records my uncle gave me. I hope my children realize one day how lucky we are to all be together to celebrate the day we became a family. Happy birthday to my Ryan & Danny.
