S/O to my first generation veteran, my father, CSM(R) Vernon Cook! I strive to be as phenomenal of a Soldier as you were!!! I remember growing up as a child, walking through varies units encountering Soldiers as theyd speak remarkable things about my fathers leadership; I only hope to have reproduced to Soldiers Ive had leadership over. Charles Smith, Jerminthia Smith, Durty Kimbro, Christine Awkward, J-Rader Wilson, Melissa Lauren Gottuso, Waleed Malik-Kashmiri کشمیری, Justin Slangin James, and so many more; you have taught me more than youll ever know from the bottom up! To my peers: Davia Burns, Shawn Bose, Shera Luster, Dustin DaWind, Justin Morelli, Isaac Kealoha Nunies, Traek Wells, Venuss Venus Travis, Jimmia Harris, Tilli Laurent, and so on; you have definitely been instrumental with peer to peer leadership and guidance through-out my military career, but most of all, unbreakable friendship! Then to those leaders of today: Marco Brown, TruRyderz Falecha MzBhavn Qualls, Debbie Jean Gibson Bean, Cassandra Faith Warthen-Jackson, Berline Philemond, Anthony Hillmon, John Hembree, and again many others; your motivation, push, and above the standard expectance of me has continued to be with me in your absence from me and will always be with me. Lastly, but not at all the least, I have to send a special S/O to my cousin Santwon Walker, as Ill forever remember being at Fort Bragg with her before heading out to my first deployment to Iraq and the day allowed me to be present at her commissioning; AND although I wasnt in the Army then, kicking it with her while she and my Dad were stationed at Fort Stewart together. You looked-out for me more than youll ever know cuz! I couldnt tag everyone, but EVERY Soldier, Sailor, Airmen, Marine, and civilian has had an impact on me one way or another and I salute you all!!!!! Happy Veterans Day!
