SABIE News : Not so long ago a couple of children were selling puppies in the streets of Sabie. A couple were purchased! Those that were not sold were left on the doorstep of a shop! A good Samaritan picked them up and dropped them at the Vet who contacted Pro Life and of course Karin Erasmus agreed to accept them into the fold! On the day of collection it was brought to our attention that a puppy (which we suspected to be part of the litter that we already had in a box in the car) was in desperate need of medical attention but the owner could not afford to take the puppy to the vet. These pups were only a couple of weeks old! So we took the pup from him AND now we hear he has another puppy chained up at the back of his property! We have no power over this situation and ask that IF you see an animal being mistreated or suspect it is not in good hands - PLEASE telephone the SPCA immediately and give these people the SHOCK of their lives! The SPCA will check on them and give guidelines and warn them as to how the animal must be looked after! If YOU do this then you are rescuing the animals too!
