SABU: A LITTLE CRAZY On December 12, 2004... Me and Julian drove 4 hours in a blizzard to Detroit to help pay for SABUs hospital bills. All of these years later, its one of the best memories that I have. Rarely do we have the opportunity to give back to someone that has given so much. This is one of the best documentaries I have EVER seen! Its done COMPLETELY independent. So the music is the best! Metallica to Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Smashing Pumpkins to Janes Addiction. Also, it contains footage from every organization: WWE, TNA, ECW, USWA, WCW, NJPW, FMW, & every Indy circuit along the way. A word of caution: its very violent. This is a testament as to why this man is a founding father of Professional Wrestling. Hes on the Mount Rushmore... NO DOUBT! He brought something NEW to the business and then changed it forever. It covers it all. It explains how the TAZ/Sabu feud started. It explains the ECW/WCW feud. It explains the Paul Heyman fallout. It explains the RVD/Bill Alfonso friendship. I guess the only thing that it didnt cover as much as I wouldve liked, was the RVD/Sabu arrest for smoking weed. Its covered but, RVD was on the precipice of walking on sacred ground of fame and fortune and that went away because of that arrest. Sabu also chronicles just how dangerous it is working with The Big Show. He lost 25 pounds and and suffered heart murmers from The Big Shows chops. Why did he do it? Why give so much and get so little in return. Why stand out and be special when you can just as easily fit in? I dont think its a stretch to say what this guy did was, metaphysical. Its a document to, Mind over Matter and the price one has to pay to be ahead of the curve. Fascinating.
