SAD: Gov Mandagos PA, political adviser, and a security officer perish in a grisly road accident along Eldoret-Nakuru Highway. The governors political adviser and personal assistant died on the spot while a security officer died at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital. The police declined to release their names until their next of kin are informed. Their car collided head on with a trailer heading to Eldoret at Outspan about 20 kilometers from the town. They were traveling to join the governor and Deputy President William Ruto at a funeral in Timboroa. It appears the car was overtaking another vehicle when it collided with the oncoming trailer, said Eldoret West Police boss Lazarus Wambua. He said two others in the car, a security adviser and the driver, sustained serious injuries and are admitted at the same hospital. The vehicles involved were damaged extensively.
