STILL waiting for YOU @ the Manhattan NY High-Kill Shelter ♥ A Friendly & BEAUTIFUL ♥ 1-year old little Patterdale Terrier girl A volunteer writes: Sadie is a puzzling mix said to pull most of her genes from the Patterdale Terrier breed. She is quite pretty in her well groomed, shiny and flawless ebony coat . She owns large round eyes always in alert and often keeps a little front paw up. Sadie was found as a stray and brought to us by a good Samaritan. Sadie lays at the back of her kennel. She is leashed without difficulty and walks well on the leash, eliminating as soon as we leave the building. She is a little aloof and worried but leash free, does come when called, mostly for treats for which she sits. She seems to relax when she sees another dog, in the street or when one comes to say hello in the yard. Sadie can be petted but is quite skittish and unwinds under the touch after a while. She is frightened in the strange environment the care center is to her and hopefully, soon enough, someone will lay eyes on her, fall in love and take her in a safe and caring home.
