SAFETY ALERT! On Saturday, August 10th a motorist was traveling west on I-70 behind a dark colored truck when the driver of the dark truck began to “brake checking” the following motorist; this continued between Federal Blvd & Lowell Blvd until the driver of the dark truck maneuvered his truck behind the motorists vehicle. The vehicles exited I-70 at Lowell with both turning south onto Lowell Blvd, the driver of the dark truck activated red and blue flashing lights located beneath the truck’s rear-view mirror. The motorist refused to stop and the suspect was last seen traveling west on W 46th Ave. The suspect is described as a white male in his 40’s, medium build, wearing eyeglasses, a baseball cap and camouflage clothing. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark green Ford F-150 with a partial Colorado license plate of ???-OXW or ???-OCW. Commander Paul Pazen emphasizes the importance of being aware of your surroundings and to call 9-1-1 when you are in a situation of this nature. Please attempt to get the vehicle’s license plate information, description and if possible the driver’s description this will help our responding officers and the public who may be our eyes and ears in the future.
