SAGE Sage is a herb with grey green fuzzy leaves. Its Latin name is Sage officinalis and it has numerous common names. Some of the best-known are sage, common sage, garden sage, golden sage, kitchen sage, true sage, culinary sage, Dalmatian sage, and broadleaf sage. Cultivated forms include purple sage and red sage. Put dried sage leaves in your cupboard with winter clothes to deter moths. Sage is also an antioxidant. Add sage to your stews and soups to enhance your memory. Add the herb close to serving time into the pot, it has a delicate savoury, slightly peppery flavour. They have beautiful flowers. Replace your plants every 2-3 years when they become too woody.
