SAIL/DSP UPDATES According to latest available information about the wage negotiations of SAIL employees, its high time we the workers irrespective of our Union faithfulness must come in a common platform and force our leaders to go for PERCENTILE-BASED perks without a ceiling on DA and nothing else. As transpired from the talk of some of the union leaders of INTUC, INTTUC and CITU, it appears the blame game has started once again. INTUC leaders have already started saying that there is no point in delaying the wage negotiations further and we must now grab the management offer of certain increase in our existing perks (like New Car Allowance Rs 2500, New Scooter Allowance - RS 1250, LLTC Upto S5 - Rs 32000, upto S8 Rs 38000 S9 & above Rs 46000 and so and so). INTTUC is washing their hands from the whole issue as they are not invited by the management in the Core Committee meetings. CITU leadership has for some unknown reason talking of "Workers Unity" and expressing the concern that the workers are getting impatient and so the wage negotiations has to be carved by the earliest. In spite of the fact that CITU gave birth to the hopes and aspiration of the workers in talking about Percentage-Based PERKS is now deviating. Under this circumstances, please raise your voice in every possible ways and give your valuable suggestions in this regard.
