SALES ANALYSIS SYSTEM(Case Study of ) This research is aimed at designing and implementing of sales analysis system for Case study name. It is set of alleviating the problems the company encountered during sales computation in the past. It describes and explain the computerization of sales and how to calculate due cash sold by the cashier and sales person. The project gives a detailed way of calculating the entire sales record of case study name, including their budgeting, sales record, transaction, stock at hand etc. and how the result is stored in the database of the company as well as the system required for the computerization and tabulation of different financial areas of the company. This project is also of great advantages because it helps to analysis sales record and calculation, daily sales of the company, this is done to reduce insecurity of the company fund and sales record, because it is, manually done, the record may be incorrect. AN ENTERPRISE BANKING SYSTEM(Case Study of any Enterprise Bank) For the past a few years, dramatic improvement has been achieved in the IT industry caused huge changes throughout the economy. Consequently, not only in banking section has there been changes but most of the services are now available on-line and off-line. This Enterprise Banking System is designed to Registered Customers online, Confirm Customers Account Number and Secret Pin thereby ensuring security, it will encourage the transfer of fund from one account into another if only the both parties are users of the EBS by so doing reducing the possibility of carrying physical cash about and queuing in the bank, it will also help customer to check their Account Balance, produce report of transactions. FACILTY AND PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.(Case study of SPDC) This project is based on the management of records in private organization in Nigeria with emphasis on Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC). This is to ascertain the place of records and archives management in private organizations. Relevant issues explored include; access to records, personnel, equipment and facilities for storage and maintenance. The questionnaire was used for collection of data. The result reveals that, though records in SPDC are appreciable well managed there is room for improvement. Some problems encountered include inadequate computer terminals, poor/incomplete reporting, space problem and lack of professionally trained records managers and archivists. Recommendations were made to improving records management practices in SPDC and other organizations in Nigeria. A WEB BASE COMPUS PAYMENT SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF YOUR SCHOOL) in this project work, we developed a web based campus payment system which will solve the problems encountered by student of tertiary institution in handling their payments. We employed PHP programming language which is the most popular scripting language at the front end, and at the back end. Also we used MySQL for the data base creation The worldwide proliferation of the Internet has led to the recent birth of electronic payment system: a payment service solution-software that enables monetary value to be transferred digitally. Payments like school fees, departmental fees, seminar fees, project fees, etc. are still done manually. A MOBILE AIRTIME VOUCHER DATABASE SYSTEM.(Case Study A CASE STUDY OF GLOBACOM NIG L.T.D) E-commerce is the concept of buying and selling via the internet website, connected to the global network. The concept of this work is to design a website were recharge cards or credit cards as it is popularly known can be sold on the internet via website to ease stress. Which could be browsed, paid for and loaded in the handset, while payment can be made for it online through customer account number. The project gives is a tools that allow prepaid complexities of the supply chain and to add value to their prepaid and their distribution partners. FRENCH- ENGLISH LANGUAGE TRANSLATION SYSTEM Gone are the days when natural language (English) served as a means of communication in computing areas. In this project we are going to determined how natural language can be translated from French to English using intelligent agent so as to reduce difficulties to users who do understand English but not French. As such there is need to develop a natural language translation system that will paraphrase an input text and translate the text from English to French and vice versa, finding in this work reveals that there are many advantages and application (NLP) which include information extraction, question answering information retrieval, summarization, and machine translation e.t.c. DATA SECURITY WITH CRYPTOGRAPHY OVER A NETWORK. CASE STUDY: EXXONMOBIL NIGERIA PORT-HARCOURT INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT (ICTD) This research data security with cryptography over a network. A case study of Exxonmobil Oil Company gives a vivid look of data security. How important data security is over a network protecting transmitted contents from prying eyes. (Hackers, information stealing, corruption and distortion agents) has been up held as secure for the maintenance of the originality of transmitted data.Chapter one took care of the general introduction, concepts and emphasizes the need for such subject matter.Chapter two focused on the literature review. KINDERGARTEN E-LEARNING SYSTEM Kindergarten E-learning system main aim is to provide a modular and extensible system with adaptive and knowledge management abilities for students and teachers. This system is based on the IMS specifications representing information through metadata. Metadata is used to satisfy requirements like reusability, interoperability and multipurpose. The system provides authoring tools to define learning methods with adaptive characteristics, and tools to create courses allowing users with different roles, promoting several types of collaborative and group learning. It is also endowed with tools to retrieve, import and evaluate learning objects based on metadata, where students can use quality educational contents fitting their characteristics, and teachers can of use quality educational contents to structure their courses. The metadata management and evaluation play an important role in order to get the best results in the teaching/learning process. (AUTOMATED CASH TRANSFER SYSTEM(CASE STUDY OF ANY BANK) Born out of the need to go cashless and improve customer service in the banks, need for an automatic cash transfer system is strongly felt. In this project, a system for automatic cash transfer is designed and developed. The logic is coded in Visual Basic. A working system is tested and certified functional. Automated cash transfer uses cash computer and electronic technology as a substitute for checks and development processes. We can prove that in the system developed so far, the user can withdraw money without going inside the bank and can also carryout cash transfer transaction accurately, speedily and record reports. HOTEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM This work studies the information and communication technology (ICT) in a small hotel. Its main purpose is to study the different procedures and processes that make up the day to day activities and design a distributed system that will make these processes more efficient, thereby increasing productivity and reducing down time. (AN AUTOMATED SEAPORT BILLING SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF NIGERIA PORTS AUTHORITY (NPA), ONNE) Since the seaport is one of the many big establishments that contribute to the nation economy, it strikes up interest in automation. One of its important jobs is the generation of bills which in many years have been done manually. In this computer age then comes the need for the automated billing system of the NPA to ease the cumbersome and tedious nature of the job. (E-RECRUITMENT SYSTEM (CASE STUDY OF SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY NIGERIA) As we are in 21st century, which is being governed by Information Management System and recruitment in most organization is a very expensive task oriented and involves a lot of processes which make it difficult to efficiently process large volume of applications with greater care. There is need for an Electronic Recruitment System (ERS), in streamlining recruitment process and calculating the return on investment. This study aims to raise recruiting processes to the next level THROUGH the design and implementation of a suitable electronic system for matching qualified applicants to the available job openings and contain all the challenges encountered with the manual handling of recruitment processes in various organizations using Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigerian (SPDCN) as case study. PATIENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (RIVPOLY) This study was undertaken to get an insight on competence development of Patient’s Management System in our organization of health related in Rivers State. The increase in Patient Management System in health institution is showing more interest and complains of poor satisfaction by the public who are the receivers of the services had put-in more concerns to experts and the public. Thus, literatures from great scholars of authorities were cited and considered as it relates to the causes, type and remedies. This study discovered that, there are various views, causes and ways of making things become better in Patient Management System in Rivers State. EXPERT SYSTEM ON MALARIA AND TYPHOID FEVER DIAGNOSE This project, Expert system on Malaria and Typhoid Diagnosis, is a software system tailored for use in the diagnosis of malaria and typhoid diseases. The software is an expert system with a database containing an expert knowledge. The user only uses it to determine whether he or she has any of the diseases within its domain. The software has been designed to be interactive with audio capability eliciting from the user if they have symptoms of the diseases. The user response helps the expert system to determine the level at which the disease is present. The user is further advised on what next to do. This software is implemented in visual basic programming environment, Health care facility should be accessible by all at all time. But some of the people that should access these facilities are far removed from these facilities. It would be of great necessity to provide a computerized system that will provide a complementary medical service, such as medical disease diagnosis in places where accessibility is a problem as well as health care facilities where qualified experts are lacking, hence this topic, Expert System on Malaria and typhoid fever Diagnose. ( ON-LINE SCHOOL FEES PAYMENT (A CASE STUDY OF RIVERS STATE POLYTECHNIC BORI) This study work achievement of on-line school fees payment system focuses on the control of payment and the important information of students being admitted into River State Polytechnic Bori, and the entire administration of the school. This enable student to create their user account, recharge the account with available cards pin, make school fees payments through the electronic system, view receipt, check account balance, admission detail and logout. (AN IMMIGRATION INFORMATION SYSTEM. (A CASE STUDY OF IMMIGRATION OFFICE SECRETARIET P.H). Human beings have migrated since their origin. When an immigrant leaves his or her present country to his or her choice country then there’s much need that the immigrant have relevant information of what is obtainable in the country of their Choice (which is United Nations in this case) and as well know their right. The purpose of the project is to design a system that will inform immigrant what they need to know to live comfortably in UN as immigrant or a citizen. TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM Although the discovery of motor vehicle is a major breakthrough in man’s transportation system, it is not without demerits. Today a lot of traffic nuisance is constituted on the roads due to the ever increasing number of motor vehicle. This has been the case in Nigeria. Hence, in this project work, we developed an intelligent device termed “computer traffic light interface control system” that is able to detect when there is much queue in a particular lane at a junction and pass out judgment based on that, by allowing the cars on that lane to pass first. This study was conducted at Rumuokoro junction in Port Harcourt. The system was developed using PHP programming language which is hosted on the WAMP local server. This research work uses a Fuzzy Based Design Methodology as depicted in Figure 3.7. While carrying out analysis for the design and implementation of the proposed system, both primary and secondary methods of data collection were used. The system so developed has a fast response time and reliable, since it has the ability to take decision without human intervention. WEB BASE INSURANCE SYSTEM Many Nigeria have eluded of the importance of insurance. To some, it is always of expenditure while to others it is a welcome idea. It was achieved using general purpose and opens one source server-side scripting language that is especially suited for web development embezzled into HTML to create a dynamic web page that interacts with users so that they can see customized information. It was also achieved using hypertext processor (PHP) language which is widely used generally to also customize information. Computerised Personnel Info Mgt System HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT AND INFORMATION SYSTEM The rapid growth in Information & Communication Technology (ICT), and the power of Internet has strongly impacted the business and service delivery models of today‘s global environment Hospital Management and information Systems provide the benefits of streamlined operations, enhanced administration & control, superior patient care, strict cost control and improved profitability. Globally accepted health care systems need to comply with Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards of the US and that has become the norm of the Healthcare industry when it comes to medical records management and patient information privacy. The study is focused on understanding the performance indicators of Hospital information systems (HIS), summarizing the latest commonly agreed standards and protocols like Health Level Seven (HL7) standards for mutual message exchange, HIS components, etc… The study is qualitative and descriptive in nature and most of the data is based on secondary sources of survey data. To arrive at a conclusive idea of the larger picture on E- Hospital Management and Hospital information systems, existing survey data and specific successful case studies of HIS are considered in the study. With so many customized versions of E – hospital management solutions (E – HMS) and Hospital Information systems (HIS) available in the market, a generic module wise version of E – Hospital management system is charted out to give a clear understanding for researchers and industry experts. From the specific successful case studies analyzed in the study, the success factors and challenges faced in successful E-HMS implementation are highlighted. ONLINE SOCIAL NETWORK The increasing ubiquity of web-based social networking services is a striking feature of modern human society. The degree to which individuals participate in these networks varies substantially for reasons that are unclear. Here, we show a biological basis for such variability by demonstrating that quantitative variation in the number of friends an individual declares on a web-based social networking service reliably predicted grey matter density in the right superior temporal sulcus, left middle temporal gyrus and entorhinal cortex. Such regions have been previously implicated in social perception and associative memory, respectively. We further show that variability in the size of such online friendship networks was significantly correlated with the size of more intimate real-world social groups. However, the brain regions we identified were specifically associated with online social network size, whereas the grey matter density of the amygdala was correlated both with online and real-world social network sizes. Taken together, our findings demonstrate that the size of an individuals online social network is closely linked to focal brain structure implicated in social cognition. Online Tax Management is an application program designed with Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 for Rivers State in order to help overcome the problem of tax computation and errors in the deduction of the certain amount from staff income. Most of the problem associated with the old system is that it wastes time because it was manually operated and also incorrect calculation due to fatigue because of the large volume of data to be calculated but with new proposed system based on this research work, it will help to reduce and eliminate the problems of Tax deduction and storage. CAREER COUNSELING SYSTEM (FRAUD DETECTION SYSTEM) The Nigeria banks of recent have experienced a high level of fraudulent activities, hence the need of fraud control system. This work deals with the designing of a fraud detection system that will help in tracking fraudulent transactions in banks. The design and development of this system, that handles fraud control in the bank is associated with Visual basic as the front-end and Microsoft access database as the back-end. Finally, this research work was able to achieve a system with high security, easy transactions for customers, easy data update and easy tracking of fraudulent transaction on the banking sector.
