SAPELE/DELTA STATE MUST BETTER. 21/01/2015. ENFORCE THE N87 NOW AND REDUCE TRANSPORTATIONS COST! After i sidon evaluate Nigeria Leaders well i strongly frown with d way and manners our leaders dey threat us. On Sunday, the Federal Government pronounce say dem dey reduce petrol price to N87 from N97 due to the amount wen dem dey sell am before. Reduction of fuel prices na welcome development wey all stakeholders suppose embrace with sense of responsibility. Fuel na one of the most critical economic enablers wey dey either upset or stabilize any economy. Fuel dealers most especially for Delta State and Sapele in particular, as at now wen i dey write dis report choose to ignore this development selfishly, as dem wan to continue to dey rip-off from deir clients despite dis reduction. In this vein, Government directive to slash fuel prices on Monday wen pass so na sober and welcome development wey Nigerians should applaud. The effect of dis development suppose be immediate reduction for the cost of public transport fares, transportation of goods and reduce production cost of goods and services to d benefit of we the masses. This suppose lead ultimately to reduction of prices for basic commodities, and also e go increase the buying power for the citizens within and outside Nigeria. Dis nai we dey call Classic improvement to better d economy. Therefore, the Federal Govt nor get option dan to apply enforcement properly through good compliance by all stakeholders becos Nigerians go from here record classic improvement on the living standards for the general populace. The federal government give deir reasons as crude oil price drop from $110 to around $47 last week. When i see dis drop from na a reduction of $63. So therefore the current Nigeria Fuel prize suppose be N40 - N45. The government after deir action nor fit explain how dem take reach the N87 price mark. I dey use dis update dey call on Federal Government to go back to deir drawing board becos when e reach to remove subsidy to reduce our buying power,e nor take time. So if crude oil drop to our favour, then we must enjoy the dividend of it with immediate effect. The drop for price na form of relief for car owners and companies wen dey buy fuel. My people dis drop dey pain dem becos na great loss to fuel importers who on regular basis claim subsidy. With dis drop,it also implies say monthly allocation to states and local government through subsidy reinvestment programme go stop. The revenue accruing to the government via value added tax on petrol sold at pump head go also drop. I dey very happy for dis drop becos the State and Local Government Allocation wen dey come since,we nor dey see am. Some persons dey share crowd money to themselves. Therefore no more subsidy. Ordinarily, this suppose be good opportunity for the federal government to deregulate the down stream sector of the oil industry for Nigeria. For transport companies them suppose make some savings now thru d reduce fuelling of their fleet of vehicles but d issue now,na if the savings go dey enough to justify reduction for transport fares because of other factors for transport business wen go come later. Dis drop of N10 per liter definitely suppose lead to reduction of cost to transport agricultural produce from farm gate to d various markets across the country. Though the reduction for fuel price dey marginal for d eyes of many Nigerians,e suppose get immediate impact for the cost of transportation, manufacturing companies e.g breweries becos substantial part of their input na petrol. If the Nigeria economy dey price sensitive, the reduction suppose boost economic activities; encourage transporters to cut their fares by reasonable margin. My big question be say, wetin be d right price for petrol for Nigeria today giving the falling price of crude? Nigeria nor dey the league of countries wen e citizens dey enjoy the cheapest petrol price despite the bless resources wen we get. If we look d prices of petrol across the globe, the ten cheapest countries to find petrol include Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Qatar, Kuwait, Algeria etc. For the next weeks, Nigeria go dey too tied up with presidential, state and local elections scheduled for February 2015 to focus on state finances or on the oil sector. Campaigning ahead of the elections nor go address broad issues such as the state of the economy but control of the country’s political economy. At the end of the 2015 election Nigerians go know whether the N87 per litre na real or how long e go stay. The price adjustment na temporal as it go change with the swing fortune of crude oil. Delta State and Hon. Ben Igbakpa! With immediate effect i hereby call on unu to reduce all Transport cost within the State most especially the Delta State Transport Service and also immediate task force to go round the 26 Local Governments to enforce the sales of the change prize. The reason na becos dis prize na temporary and na the masses right to enjoy dis dividend becos wen e reach to increase fuel prize,e nor dey delay at all. And the current prize don negatively affect productivity and raise the cost of goods and services against the standard of living among the masses. His Excellency Emmanuel Uduaghan wen e cum to Transportation i give you the best Governor. I stand to represent the general public of Delta State to appeal to you to enforce dis pump prize change most especially for all the filling stations so that ur people go sing your praise. I Remain The Otota1 Of Sapele. The Urhukpe1 Of Okpe Kingdom. The Asamaigor1 Of Itsekiri Kingdom. The Eagle Eyes Of Delta State. God Bless Sapele. Dis Appeal correct or e nor correct? SAPELE/DELTA STATE MUST BETTER.
