SAPELE/DELTA STATE MUST BETTER Morning Coffee of the Word of Our God The 5 Ws and 1 H of Praise (1) Who should praise God? The Bible says,“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” Are you breathing? Then that includes you. (2) What should we praise God for? In this context,“praise” means “grateful respect or reverence.” Praise is a celebration of God’s goodness and grace. It turns our attention away from our problems and on to the nature and character of God Himself. It’s not exactly the same as thanking Him. When we thank God, we acknowledge the things He has done for us; but we praise God for who He is and for the virtues He embodies, independent of our circumstances. Whether he has done what we desire, or we still hope for it. (3) Where do we praise God? Anywhere is the answer. Right where you are will do just fine. (4) When do we Praise God? Who isn’t happy when they reach a goal, receive an award, land a new job, get a raise, or have a child or grandchild? Although It’s more of a challenge to praise God when we fail, lose our job, run into financial difficulties, or fall ill. Praising God when we least feel like it, is very difficult, but it’s at these very times when our praises are most needed and can have the greatest effect. Because it shows that we dont only praise him (5) Why do we Praise God? The Bible tells us that all of creation praises God, and that it’s because He deserves to be praised. “Proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise.” Praise benefits us too. It propels us into God’s loving presence, strengthens our relationship with Him, and strengthens us spiritually. As we focus our thoughts on God and praise Him for His goodness, He renews our spirits, increases our faith, and fills us with peace and contentment. Praise puts our problems in perspective. How to Praise God? Silently in your heart or out loud, talk to God. Pray, sing, shout, even jump for joy—whatever you feel like doing to express gratitude. If you don’t know what to praise God for, here are some ideas to get you started: Praise God for His grace thats mighty upon your life, and that sees you through every trial you face. Praise Him for His goodness in your life, and all the good things in life you freely enjoy. Praise Him for His kindness towards you and your loved ones, and for keeping you all alive and well and for protecting you from every adversaries. Praise Him for the salvation of your souls, and for making you his righteousness in Christ Jesus. PRAISE HIM FOR THE PAST SIX MONTHS AND FOR MAKING YOU SEE THE NEXT HALF OF THIS YEAR 2014...PRAISE HIM FOR THE WONDERFUL THINGS HE HAS DONE, THOSE HE IS DOING AND THOSE HE IS YET TO DO. Exercise it! What is the worst problem you are currently facing? Describe it to yourself in a few words, perhaps even write it down, but don’t dwell on it. Now push it to the back of your mind by praising God for good things He has done for you in the past, For keeping you alive, providing your daily bread as well as His promise to continue caring for you in the present and future. PRAYER: Sweet Heavenly Father, We Praise you for your loving kindness and for you steadfast love. We praise you for the battles you won for us through out the night and everyday of our lives, we praise you because we are safe,whole and hearty this morning, and because we know we and our loved ones would continue to be. We Praise you for our daily bread and for making us lack no good thing in you. We praise you for our jobs, our businesses and for making all that we do prosper. We praise you for this 1st half of the year and for all the great things that happened in our lives. We praise you for this month of July and the remaining half of the year. We Praise you because we know that we live a beautiful and that our lives go from Glory to Glory, and from strength to strength everyday of our lives. Now personally take out time to thank and praise him for many more personal and individual things you can remember he did this 1st half of the year...And declare how you want the remaining half of this year to be, and may it be unto you as you desire.
