SATAN CANNOT DO ANYTHING WITHOUT FIRST ASKING GODS PERMISSION! Contrary to what many believe, hell and lake of fire are not Satans kingdom. Lake of fire is where Satan, the Antichrist, the false prophet, and those whose names are not written in the book of life will be cast to be tormented forever. Revelation 20:10 The devil, was cast into the lake of fire, where the Antichrist, the false prophet are, and 15 Anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire, 10 And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. SATAN IS POWERLESS Satan cannot do anything without Gods permission. And only if God allows him is he able to accomplish what he wants to do. Now there was a day when the angels of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. And the Lord said to Satan, Where have you been? Then Satan answered the Lord, Around the earth, surveying. And the Lord said to Satan, Have you observed My servant Job, there is none like him on earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God and shuns evil? Then Satan answered the Lord and said, Does Job fear God for nothing? You have put a hedge around him and protected his family and all his possessions. You have blessed the work of his hands, and you have prospered him. But afflict him and his family, and stop blessing him, and he will betray you. And the Lord said to Satan, OK, he is in your hands. Do what you want with him, but dont touch his person. So Satan left and afflicted Job. Job 1:6-12, Succeeding verses describe what Satan did to Job with Gods permission. Again there was a day when the angels of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. And the Lord said to Satan, Where have you been? And Satan answered the Lord, Around the earth surveying. And the Lord said to Satan, Have you observed My servant Job, that there is none like him on earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God and shuns evil? And he still maintains his integrity although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause. And Satan answered the Lord and said, All that a man has will he give for his life. Touch his person, and he will betray You. And the Lord said to Satan, OK, he is in your hands, but spare his life. So Satan left and smote Job with boils from the sole of his foot to his head. Job 2:1-7, Again, succeeding verses list what Satan did to Job after getting permission from God. Many think that the devil is responsible for every bad thing that happens in the world. They grant Satan this power and even attribute Gods work to him. They dont dont realize that Satan is only Gods creature, helpless, and he can do only what God allows him to do. In a way, without realizing, they are glorifying Satan. Satan has been defeated already on the cross. He can succeed only if we allow him to do us harm. Satan cannot pluck the believer from the palms of the Father and the Son. All he can do is endanger the soul of the unsaved. Nothing can pluck the believer from the hands of the Father and the Son. (John 10:28-29) Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit, and a great chain was in his hand. He laid hold of Satan, and he cast him into the bottomless abyss and shut him up, and set seal on him, for a thousand years so that he should deceive no more till the millennium was sover, when he will be released for a little while. And Satan, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the Antichrist and the false prophet are. And they shall be tormented day and night for eternity. (Revelation 10:10) The lake of fire is not Satans kingdom. He will not rule there, He will be tormented there with the lost forever! And The Word Was Made Flesh pp. 147-151
