SATURDAY - July 5, 2014 DIG IN All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Have you ever watched a baseball player as he steps into the batters box? He puts a hand up to the umpire and starts kicking into the dirt with his feet. Why? To cover up home plate of course - no thats not why. He kicks into the dirt to get firm footing for his feet. He is digging in. Without digging in he stands a risk of slipping, or worse yet falling, when he swings his bat. As Christians we can learn a lesson from this. The best way for is to become more stable and not lose our footing on life is to dig in to Gods Word - EVERY DAY. God has equipped us for everything - we just have to decide to use it. Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path. Psalm 119:105 Regardless of how dark life gets, step up to the plate and dig in to Godd Word. If you slip or start to fall reach out to Jesus and allow Him to light your way and reveal His will for you. God Bless
