SAVAGE: Fierce, violent, uncontrolled, cruel, vicious, - TopicsExpress

SAVAGE: Fierce, violent, uncontrolled, cruel, vicious, aggressively hostile, uncivilized, of something bad or negative, a brutal or vicious person. I have been seeing this word, as todays youth refer to themselves as savages, and even some of the parents of today and honestly it saddens me. Life and death lie in the power of the tongue (Prov. 18:21) and you shall have whatever you say. And it is manifesting sure enough this generation that is coming forth displays open acts of disrespect amongst themselves, towards themselves, towards others and has no remorse, fear, reverence, or correction for that matter. I just think its time to remember what the bible says about our children, that they are a gift from God. (Psalm 127:3). As parents we are accountable to the Lord for what we teach and dont teach our children. The bible mentions several times that we are to teach our children the laws and decrees of the Word (Exodus 18:20) so that we may hand down an inheritance for the next generation. (Deut. 4:9). This had to be important to God for Him to even mention it. I think so many parents today are so caught up in what is in front of them that the thought of leaving something behind for their children is rarely thought of. Or the fact that how you raise your children says a lot about the generations to come after you. What inheritance do you think they will receive if you raise them up in the word verses the world? The inheritance of darkness or the inheritance of our Father which art in heaven? Im not judging by any means, just simply calling attention to what is literally taking place in todays society and its undeniable. I know I dont stand alone in witnessing the future generations become more and more perverse, more wicked, more numb to morality, and who is truly to blame? Listen to what were calling our children now a days, or to what some are calling themselves. SAVAGES! And there you have it, you shall have what you say...Now, Im not placing all of the blame on this one word, but Im calling attention to the fact that as parents, it is our responsibility to instill the word of God in our children. (Ephesians 6:4) As we are in the end times, they too will need to know how to stand against the enemy as well. satan has no standards, yet one purpose; to come after those that belong to God. His people. And that includes children too. Take a moment today to tell your children what God says about them and not what the world is referring them to. (Prov. 22:6, Prov. 22:15), Tell them that the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them (Matthew 19:14-14)! Make a difference by choosing to speak life to your children!
