~~~~SAVE THE DATE!!!!~~~~ Today Linda, Patty, Loey, Nat, Gwen, myself, and Deb (via two tin cans and a really long string) got together to begin the process of planning our 35th Class Reunion.* :) Drum roll please - The reunion date will be ... May 23, 2015. We graduated on May 25, 1980 - so it is really really close to celebrating on the actual anniversary date. This falls on Memorial Weekend. That way there will be more traveling time for those that need to come in from out of town/state. :) The reunion will start at 4:30 P.M and go until ???? We will be doing a class picture at 5:15 P.M.. (Please try to be there!) We are going to be having the meal at 6:00 P.M. Casual attire ... come be comfortable!!! (Or dress in attire from 1967 to 1980). Our theme will be the years spanning 1967 to 1980. (The years we were in school.) More information on that later, and we will want to keep a few things as surprises. Please bring your own beverages. We will be having some two liters of pop, but anything else you want - please bring it with you. Linda is working on the planning and orchestrating the menu. There will be a salad for the vegetarians, but if you have special food/diet accommodations, you may want to bring your own snacks with the beverages. Deb will be listing more information on the location. There will be camping there, but it will be basic camping. No hookups, etc. ~We will be sending out SAVE THE DATE CARDS via the United States Postal Service sometime next month. We will be posting a list at a later date of the classmates that we need YOUR help tracking down their mailing addresses. Patty will be in charge of the master list of addresses. I know a number of people were offering to donate $$$ to the reunion. I will be in charge of collecting the money. Please send me a message to me if you would like my mailing address or my PayPal address. I will be CC on the incoming funds/outgoing funds to Gwen. I wanted to thank Natalie for being our FIRST DONATER to get the ball rolling on the reunion. The cost of the reunion will be $20.00 per person. (If you eat the meal or not.) If you want to send your money early to help with postage and other expenses - feel free to do so. Just notate if you are paying for your ticket, your guests ticket, or if it is a donation. Again, message me and I will get you my contact information. :) If we are lucky enough to have money left over - we will have it available for the next reunion. We do plan on having a 50/50 drawing at the reunion with the proceeds going toward our next reunion. 40th ... OMG. :) Please try to attend the reunion!!! :) It would be great to have as many classmates attend as possible. We are extending the invites to our graduating class and the folks that were part of class that did not graduate, but was in our grade, but didnt graduate for some reason (moved away, joined the French Foreign Legion, had better things to do, etc.) I am sure I have pretty much lost everyones interest by now. ;) Besides - I dont want to give away all the exciting details of the night. The next class reunion meeting will be at Eddie Gs on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. All are welcome to join us.
