SAVED, & SET APART... Romans 12:2 “Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good & acceptable & perfect Will of God”. With a world that is consumed by hate, anger & prejudice, many of us as the body of Christ are looking for answers we already have. As the “church”, our job is to pray for those who have despitefully misused us, (Romans 12:14) love those who do not love you (Matthew 5:44), minister to those who are lost – even our oppressors (Matthew 5:13-16 John 12:23-33), forgive those who have wrongfully harmed us (Matthew 6:14-15) , and not retaliate in anger, rather, let the Wrath be God’s (Romans 12: 17-21). The most difficult thing for the Christian to do is live & navigate in a “natural world”, faced with the challenge of applying “spiritual principles”. We as the church have not been called to hide behind the walls of the church but we also have not been called to conform to the world. It would be ridiculous and uneducated of God’s Word to think that we are not required to “walk in the world”! God simply doesn’t want you to walk “with the world”. So in these dark times, remember, as the world is angry we must remain peaceful; As the world is hateful we must remain loving; As the world is prejudice we must continue to love; And as the world becomes violent we must continue to maintain our peace. As the Body of Christ, we have been SAVED AND SET APART. And as the church is being challenged in these days, we must maintain the integrity of our sanctification. God Bless!
