SAYING NO TO MAULID IS AN INSULT TO RASUL (SAW), WHY? When ask, Is Maulid Valid? Wallahi, it takes us less than a sec. to respond, Yes. When ask, Prove it. Wallahi, It takes us again, less than a sec. to start typing millions of evidences: (1i), Ikma (Wisdom): Allah says in Sura Nissa verse 116, ...wa anzallallahu alaika kitaba, wa ikma, wa mallam takun taalam...__It is Allah who sent down upon you the Quran, Wisdom, and taught you... (1ii), Allah says, He grants wisdom (ikma) to whom He pleases, and to whom wisdom (ikma) is granted, has receives indeed a benefit overflowing...(Baqara verse 269). Elaborating on wisdom, wisdom has got nothing to do with revelation. Wisdom is ability to deduce using the knowledge of Al-Ness (Text-Quran) and Ijtihad (interpretation). Here, Rasul (saw) can use his own ikma (wisdom) to give fatwa (ruling) based on his interpretation (Ijtihad) without the need of Wahhi (revelations), in sha Allah. (2i), Siera (History), For an example, Rasul (saw) used his Ikma ( reasoning ability-wisdom) to give a ruling on Ashura of every 9th and 10th day of the Month of Muharram. It has been the tradition of the Jews to Fast on every 9th of Muharram. When asked, Why? The Jews answered, 9th of Muharram was the day Moses delivered and liberated them from the tyrant Pharaoh. Upon hearing this, Rasul (saw) replied, We (Muslims) have the right of Moses over you (Jews)...Due to that, Rasul (saw) made a ruling that every Muslim Must fast not only on the 9th but on the 10th as well of each Muharram. This ruling was based on Ikma, not wahhi (revelation.) (2ii), Hadith: Many will say, But only Rasul (saw) can do it. We respond, No. Incident regarding Usama, proved that I and you can use our Ikma to also interpret and give rulings. When the young Usama (19 yr old) was dispatched by Rasul (saw) for an expedition, Rasul (saw) ask him, Ya Usama, In case you want to make a ruling on something you have no knowledge of, how can you? Usama replied, I will implore Quran. Rasul (saw) said, What if Quran does not stipulate it? Usama replied, I dont know. Rasul (saw) said, Use your own judgement (wisdom) to make your ruling. Many will again say, This order is for Usama only. we replied not necessarily. Allah says, He grants wisdom (ikma) to whom He pleases, and to whom wisdom (ikma) is granted, has receives indeed a benefit overflowing...(Baqara verse 269). So you see, the fact that your intention is good, go ahead buu. So therefore, from the Ikma (wisdom) point of view, using the above Sieera, Hadith and Quran, we can celebrate Maulid Annabi Muhammadul Mustaphal Kareem Sallallahu alahi wassalam, in sha Allah. Furthermore, There is something called, Bida. It means innovation. But this Bida is broken into good bida and bad bida. Good Bida is called Bidatul Hassan. On this Bidatul Hassan, Saeedna Umar (ra) innovated Tarawih Prayers. In fact, He was the 1st person to have used the word, Bida Al-Hassan.>Good Innovation when he introduced Tarawih congregational prayers in the 2nd yr. of his reign as caliph, something Rasul (saw) and Saeedna Abubakar (ra) never did. But the fact that his intention was good, the Tarawih was accepteAllah says, He grants wisdom (ikma) to whom He pleases, and to whom wisdom (ikma) is granted, has receives indeed a benefit overflowing...(Baqara verse 269).d, but many disputed it as well. Debate still goes on in that regard. Why are we then been subjected to humiliation, insult, and attack, simply because, Maulid too is a Bida Al-Hassan, by the same very people that do Tarawih but call it Bida ALhassan? It is nothing but hating Rasul (saw). We hail him, and hail him till death. Maulid is therefore valid. Allah asks us to do it. it is there in Quran. Do you wanna see it?
