SC Gov Haley has formed a task force to review state regulations on business with a goal of eliminating rules that are unnecessary or overly burdensome. For example, the regulations that require individual maker/sellers of caskets to be licensed, have a showroom, and have at least 6 caskets on display. All with the goal of making the funeral home the only place to purchase a casket. The last public hearing is Monday, July 22 from 12:00-2:00 at USC Aiken, Bus & Educ Bldg, Rm #122 There is also an email address for public input: GovRegTaskForce@sccommerce In your email, you need to state your name and contact info, specify how this regulation would unduly burden you or your business, and provide alternatives.
