SCAM ALERT! I received a call a little whole ago from a BLOCKED NUMBER from a woman with a heavy far east Indian accent. She told me she was calling from WINDOWS Maintenance and was calling in response to error messages they were teceiving from my computer! I immediately sensed somehing phishy, told her my computer was behaving perfectly, and could she elaborate on the error messages she was receiving. She hung up on me! Called Windows Support and confirmed the following: WINDOWS will NEVER make calls to users, and WINDOWS does not receive error messages from our computers! I suspect that if I had gone along with this woman, she would have taken steps to gain access to my computer! BEWARE!!!! And SHARE!!!
