Based in Charleston, SC, the agency provides a unique alternative for business owners, who simply dont have the time, skill or desire to manage their marketing efforts. Rooted ID believes that a streamlined system for marketing is critical to the success of a small business. Rooted ID is literally a one-stop shop that can act as a company’s marketing department. There are a number of benefits that come with a comprehensive approach - convenience, consistency and a responsive staff that is mindful of both budget and vision. Jennifer Morrow, founder and Marketing Consultant, began her career in the television industry, focusing on creative services (both graphic design and producing). Most notably, she produced on-air promotions for The Weather Channel in Atlanta, GA. She then moved into the design and development of interactive media for large corporations, including SONY®, Lockheed Martin® and Nabisco®. However, it was through building two other businesses from the ground up that the need for a small business marketing solution became apparent. Rooted ID was founded with that need in mind. 11:00 – 11:30 am Ian Sanchez on Purposeful Entrepreneurship Working with various for-profit and non-profit businesses over the years has given Ian a broad range of experiences. The reoccurring theme seems to involve people who are passionate about engaging education and purposeful entrepreneurship. Ian is involved with the South Carolina Great Outdoors Project, the Environmental Education Capacity Project, the South Carolina Outdoor Education Program, Science Songs Rock, The Palmetto Clean Fuels Coalition, the Outdoor Economy, The Web of Water, the Barbados Carolina Legacy Foundation and others. These multifarious projects are all interconnected. Everything Ian is involved in (whether it is education, music, ecotourism, biofuels, science, exploration, or business) is aimed at the pursuit of innovative ideas that create long-term value for people and the planet. “I am continuously humbled by the selfless, dedicated people I encounter. It is my hope to continue to help develop projects in pursuit of meaningful ventures.” 11:45-12:00 pm Closing Remarks & Adjourn 12:00-12:45 pm Lunch 1:00 – 3:30 pm Guided Canoe Tour Enjoy an interpretive canoe trip and travel back to the age of rice as we paddle through rice fields and canals that now serve as one of the richest wildlife habitats in the low country.
