SCOLARI NAMES SQUAD FOR ZAMBIA FRIENDLY Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has named a 23-man squad for the October 15 international friendly against Zambia making several changes due to injuries the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) announced on Thursday. Julio Cesar, Thiago Silva, Fred and Fernando were left out due to injuries. Defensive midfielder Lucas Leiva of Liverpool returns in place of Fernando while Dede and Victor were included in place of Thiago Silva and Julio Cesar respectively. The squad which was announced at the Sheraton Hotel in Rio de Jenairo on Thursday 26th September has a place for striker Alexandre Pato following injury to Fred. Scolari has however maintained the core of the 2013 Confederations Cup winning squad with key players David Luiz, Paulinho, Luiz Gustavo, Oscar, Hulk and Neymar named on the list. Meanwhile, Zambia coach Herve Renard is expected to announce his squad on Tuesday, 1st October. The announcement will be made at Football House at 11:00hrs Brazil plays Zambia as part of their World Tour at the National Stadium - Birds Nest in Bejing, China.
