The granddaddy of all desert races is the season finale of the five-race SCORE World Desert Championship, this year’s iconic adventure, Nov. 11-15, will be a race of approximately 1,280 miles down Mexico’s majestic Baja California peninsula, starting in Ensenada, Baja California Norte and finishing in La Paz, Baja California Sur. After its debut airing in its normal time slot Tuesday night at score-international, it is being re-broadcast continuously on the SCORE website throughout the week ahead. Coordinated by SCORE DirtLive HD creator and producer George Antill, tonight’s show will also include the airing of the CBS Sports Network trailer for the upcoming broadcast of the 19th Rigid Industries SCORE Desert Challenge which saw hometown hero Steven Eugenio of El Centro, Calif., capture the featured SCORE Trophy Truck division in the No. 7 Galindo Motorsports Chevy Silverado. Next Tuesday, DirtLive HD will be on-site covering the SEMA SCORE Baja 1000 Experience from Las Vegas along with the special SCORE Baja 1000 qualifying for SCORE Trophy Truck and Class 1 from Las Vegas Motor Speedway SCORE produces the five-race SCORE World Desert Championship in the U.S. and Mexico that features competition in 25 Pro and 5 Sportsman classes for cars, trucks, UTVs, motorcycles and ATVs. Tonight’s special video will highlight the building of a new Class 10 open-wheel racer for COPs Racing owner John Langley by Mike Julson’s award-winning Jimco Racing vehicle building shop near San Diego. Johnson, a world-class motorcycle racer with numerous SCORE race victories, including several while riding solo, evolved into a champion car and truck winner. Now retired from racing, Johnson won both the SCORE Baja 1000 and the SCORE Baja 500 overall while riding solo and topped his career as a winning racer for the old Nissan factory team that was so successful in the 1980s and early 1990s. Kroyer, with headquarter in the industrial complex at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, builds many of the engines used by top racers in both the SCORE Trophy Truck and unlimited Class 1 as well as other classes. Kroyer Racing Engines, which also builds NASCAR racing engines as well as motors for other forms of motorsports, has won the SCORE Engine Builder of the Year season point championship in each of the last four years (2010 through 2013) as is leading the points again as well in the 2014 SCORE World Desert Championship heading into next month’s season-finale. SCORE DirtLive HD Desert racing public address announcer and former racer George Antill is the executive producer and host of the show.
