I dont know if readers and political critics agree with this philosopher but I must confess that I do agree with him 100% being a scholar who believes in Platos thesis of leadership which says There will be no end to the troubles of states, or of humanity itself, till philosophers become kings in this world, or till those we now call kings and rulers really and truly become philosophers, and political power and philosophy thus come into the same hands. In the recent past ODM has been hit by unending political wrangles that many say are as a result of tony internal wrangles which the party leadership failed to solve amicably. Bandits and crusaders from various political divides have lined up their brigades and soldiers to defend their commanders left, right center. But then what exactly is the tony issue here? Succession politics I call it!! Ayn Rand once Said Individual rights are not subject to a public vote; a majority has no right to vote away the rights of a minority; the political function of rights is precisely to protect minorities from oppression by majorities (and the smallest minority on earth is the individual). Eliud Owalo. let team has repeatedly accused Hon Ababu Namwamba team where I serve of championing a URP agenda inside ODM and that if our soldier Namwamba is allowed to lead the party he will subsequently sell it to William Ruto, as a scholar I agree with Ayn Rands thesis regarding individual rights and that Owalo ed team enjoys every freedom to freely express their feelings but then they must also allow us to respond back. They are impatient and short-tampered, they want everything to go their way. We live in a world where finding fault in others seems to be the favorite blood sport. It has long been the basis of political campaign strategy. It is the theme of much television programming across the world. It sells newspapers. Whenever we meet anyone, our first, almost unconscious reaction may be to look for imperfections. Maybe I will also ask my team to nurture this art. Owalo team believes in the art of blackmail and name calling, false accusations and political impersonation is their philosophy. They believe that no one should be after them, no one should challenge them. Theyre always right. The team has studied and choreographed the countrys political nature, in their meeting theyve severally agreed that Raila Odinga wont beat Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017 elections and since 2017 will be Odingas last attempt its time they have a potential heir of Orange Democratic Movement. They believe that ODM is their native party and it should not be left to us(outsiders), or best refer us as moles.Thats why theyre bitter and angry with Naivashas list and they have vowed to do everything to have the list rejected. The saddest part of the human race is were obsessed with this idea of us and them, which is really a no-win situation, whether its racial, cultural, religious or political. Dont be cheated that the ongoing tussle in ODM is between loyalty and disloyalty rather succession.
