SCRIPTURE: Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria… Amos 6:1 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you don’t run, you will rot. If you don’t want to end with regrets at the end of your life, nor waste opportunities, you must live with a sense of urgency. A popular adage says that ‘Time waits for no one’. You must live with a sense of urgency knowing that today was the tomorrow you spoke about yesterday. When you say ‘Tomorrow I will do it’, today was that tomorrow, and tomorrow will soon become today. So, all you have per time is today, yesterday is in the tomb and tomorrow is in the womb. The Bible says in Romans 12: 11, ‘Not slothful in business, fervent in spirit serving the Lord.’ What you fail to do today may never be done. You must live passionately, militantly and aggressively. I heard a story when I went to Kenya that every morning in the Eastern part of Kenya, a lion wakes up with a determination to outrun the fastest antelope so that it doesn’t die of hunger. Also, the antelope wakes up with a determination to run faster than the fastest lion in order not to end up in the stomach of the lion. So, the question is not whether you are a lion or an antelope, the issue is when the day breaks, start running. Whether you are the one looking for food or you are the one they are looking for, start running because if you don’t run, you will rot. You must be on the run always; live with a sense of urgency
