#SCcenterpiece - While Mark Cuban does bring a decent question to the table, he has to look at other businesses when he brings the whole its hard to stay on top. Hmmm, lets think about that one. Coca-Cola is and has been the leading beverage company in the world for YEARS, yet they still spend more money on advertising and expanding than any of its competitors. Same with McDonalds, and same will go with the NFL. Fantasy Football only grows interest and brings in more fans. Im a huge multi-sport fan and no other fantasy game has nearly the amount of players nor interest as football. One of Mr Cubans points was well you used to be able to set your roster at the beginning of the week....well besides the fairly recent addition of Thursday games, the format has stayed the same in the fact that the average fan can easily keep track of their team because theres not an 82 game season where you have to adjust your roster like you would with Hockey or Basketball. Almost ALL of my friends who love football play fantasy, the same cannot be said for my friends/people I know/myself for other sports due to the fact that during the season in the other 3 major sports theres so many games going on during any given day. I love football, hockey, baseball and basketball but from a business standpoint it definitely has the easiest road to stay atop of the mountain. They effectively find new ways to reach out to different fan bases. Their deal with Alyssa Milano and her NFL womens clothing line is the perfect example. I could go on and on. Again, this is all said with respect. I do think the one thing that could start a serious decline in fan interest in the NFL is all the new safety rules and Roger Goodell. Lets face it, NONE of the players like nor do they trust him. I mean when ya get a class act like Brees coming out and directly saying so...that speaks LOUDLY. Ugh, I think if you did a poll that consisted of fans and NFL players collectively it would be a no-brainer to get that guy as far away from the NFL front office as possible
