SEA Games Myanmar Essay…. Under the democratic government, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar is now having positive developments. Among these developments, SEA Games is one of th eopportunities that Myanmar people will encounter in the near future. Not only the government but also all of the Myanmar citizens are enthusiastic about the upcoming SEA Games in Myanmar. SEA Games stands for Southeast Asian Games. Since it is a Southeast Asian games, the participants countries are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam. Myanmar will be the host country for the 27th SEA Games on 11th December 2013. The 27th Southeast Asian Games is scheduled to be held in Naypyidaw, the new capital of Myanmar, as well as in two other main cities, Yangon and Mandalay. Therefore, the governement of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar is making necessary preparatins to be able to host for th ecooming SEA Games. Up to now, many stadiums and accommodatinsa re under cnstructins. Not only the government and citizens but also Myanmar athletes are struggling lto win medals in the SEA games. Myanmar will host 33 sports in te SEA games. In these games, archery, swimming, badminton, basketball, billiard, snookers, chinlone, chess, weightlifting, volleyball, karate, cycling, canoeing, judo, boxing, footabll, golf, wushu,hockey and other games will be included. Myanmar will award total 1557 medals; gold 460, silver 460 and bronze 637 to athelics will award 46 gold medals with maximum ones in this year SEA games. Myanmar has also prepared basic infrastructures for the SEA games. The official mascot of the 2013 Southeast Asian Games is a couple of owls which are considered lucky charms in Myanmar tradition. The male owl is called Shwe Yoe and female owl is called Ma Moe. In addition, we can hear SEA games songs transmitted from TV, radios and other media channels. This song is very energetic and encouraging and it always reminds us to be prepared all the Myanmar citizens for this great event. Myanmar is aiming to achieve more medals in the 27th Southeast Asian Games. Therefore, it is a big challenge for our country. Although Myanmar is not a very rich country, it is necessary to show Myanmar’s identity and unity in this SEA games. Therefore, we are trying our best to stand all among other countries in this great event. I am also looking forward to seeing the grant opening ceremeony and closing ceremony of the 27th SEA Game in this Golden Land Myanmar..
