SECOND CHANCE...SECOND LIFE God gave me SECOND CHANCE to live. I believe that my life after my accident is my SECOND LIFE. God gave me crown of lumps or swellings on my head, but there was no hemorrhage inside my head. The accident also gave me 4 fractured ribs and flattened ( ?) lumbar 2 but my internal organs were not affected. The accident gave me many bruises on my left leg, but no bones were broken. Easily the accident could have been fatal to me, but in His mercy, God gave me SECOND CHANCE to live. I consider this accident as a wake-up call so that I may realize that life is short and that life on earth has purpose. The first three days after my accident were most difficult for me because any slight movement of my body gave me excruciating pain.I asked God for healing which He slowly gave. Now, one month after the accident, there are still pains but they become more bearable and lesser in frequency. God is slowly healing me. And I understand that I should not go back to the same kind of life I had before the accident. I know the old man in me must die in order for the new man in me to live. I should now be a better person, a better priest. I should live less in me so that there will be more presence of God in me.
