The 2014 Emmy Awards, announced Thursday, gave a nod to the heart-warming commercial in which Lt. Chuck Nadd arrives in his hometown of Winter Park, Florida, after his return from Afghanistan. Nadd, 24, a helicopter pilot, had been told he was going on a public affairs assignment. But instead, when he arrives in downtown Winter Park, he sees hundreds of residents, relatives, teachers and friends greeting him with tickertape and cheers. Anheuser-Busch’s Clydesdale horses pull the wagon carrying him and his girlfriend, Shannon Cantwell, through the crowd and along the parade route. At the end of the parade was another surprise — Nadd’s mother, waving a flag. Anheuser-Busch sponsored the parade, working along with the Defense Department. ~Anastasia
