SEEK DAILY (NBC) Friday, October 4 Joshua 24:1-13 THE COVENANT RECOUNTED AND RENEWED And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and olive yards which ye planted not do ye eat. Joshua 24:13, KJV Everyone in a community rallied round a young boy whose father, a security officer, was killed while defending his community during an invasion by a neighbouring village. The boy was assisted to complete his education in a nearby city. Later, when the boy became famous and popular, he forgot his people and wasted his money on fruitless pursuits. When he became bankrupt he went home sorrowfully pleading but no one listened to him. So, he lived the rest of his life in the village in abject poverty. “A river that forgets its source will dry up” says an adage. To be able to move forward purposefully, we must never forget where God is bringing us from. When in doubt, count your blessings and remember the battles He has fought for you, and the victories He has won for you. Then, you will know how much gratitude you owe Him. Prayer Point: Help me Lord never to forget You in all my endeavours. Read Bible Through Passage: Isa. 46, 47, 48; Philippians 1 ***********************
