SEEK DAILY (NBC) Saturday, December 27 Matthew 15:21-31 A GREAT FAITH “Woman” Jesus said to her “your faith is great. Your request is granted,” and her daughter was instantly healed. Matthew 15:28, NLT The woman in our text today was one of the people who received wonderful commendations from the Lord Jesus Christ. The amazing thing about her was that she was not even an Israelite but a Gentile. She had come to beg Jesus for the healing and deliverance of her daughter. Though Jesus appeared to ignore and pass negative comments about her, yet she refused to be moved. Even when those around ask Jesus to send her away, she persisted. Eventually, when Jesus would grade her, He gave her an excellent remark. From the passage, we discover that a great faith is: (a) A faith that stands firm even when Jesus has not answered a prayer (verse 23). (b) A faith that remains solid even when it seems Jesus has given an unfavourable answer (verse 24). (c) A faith that worships Jesus even when He has not granted the request (verse 25). (d) A faith with humility (verses 26-27). (e) A stubborn but not a rude faith. Whao! Is your faith great?
