SEEK DAILY (NBC) Thursday, April 10 Colossians 1:9-14 THE KINGDOM OF GOD’S BELOVED SON For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves. Colossians 1:13, NIV There are great benefits in being children of God. Paul and Timothy in today’s passage prayed that believers in Colossae might possess these benefits. These benefits include: gaining knowledge of God’s will; being full of all wisdom and spiritual understanding; fruitfulness in all good deeds, forgiveness and redemption of sinners through Christ’s blood. You too are entitled to claim all these benefits if you are a believer. They are primarily designed for your enjoyment in Christ. The reason you are still struggling in life as a believer is that you have not fully tapped into what God has provided for you through His Son. So, you are enjoined today to claim these benefits. Also, you have the divine mandate to lead other people around you to embrace the reign of God in Christ in order to claim the same benefits. The requirements for claiming the kingdom of God’s Beloved Son and its benefits are repentance obedience, and faith towards Christ.
