SEEK DAILY, Saturday, November 15 Psalm 1 PLANTED BY STREAMS OF WATER He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Psalm 1:3, NIV A tree planted by the streams of water does not struggle to bring forth fruit. It shines whether it is dry season or raining season or even in times of drought. In other words, the life of the tree is not determined by season; it blossoms all year round. It, therefore, has the ability to provide constant shade for all birds and humans alike. That life is a source of blessing to many people. A life planted by streams of water must: (1) Walk not by the counsel of the wicked, (not follow or copy bad ideas from wicked people or unbelievers’). (2) Stand not in the path of sinners (not found in the company of or enjoy relationship with those who do evil). (3) Sits not in the seat of scoffers (gossip); (4) must delight in the law and meditate on it day and night (read, study and apply the word of God to his or her life). Is your life a blessed one planted by the streams of water or is it a wicked and temporary one, waiting to be blown away like chaff?
