The journalist who published this story then posed a rhetorical question: “Did he then believe God does live?” The famous Augustine made a statement, which is paraphrased thus: “God has created a vacuum in the heart of all humankind that nothing else can fill except God and through that all thirsts are quenched.” This summarily gives the answer to the question raised by the journalist.David, while praising God, outlined the following: (a) God pardons their sins; (vv. 1-4) (b) As the One who established the secure order of creation, He also ordered the affairs of the world so that international turbulence was put on hold and Israel was secured in her land (vv. 5-8) and (c) He turned the Promised Land into a veritable Garden of Eden (vv. 9-13). Hence, in all this, He is hailed as “the hope” of all humankind.
