SEEKING BETTER COMMUNICATION AT CITY HALL . . . Another layer of bureaucracy at city hall or a means to expedite the distribution of vital information? In her inaugural address Monday, Mayor Heather Jackson noted a priority for her office is the implementation of a communication plan, which would include a communications officer at city hall. The role of this individual would be “to share the actions of council with the community; manage social media and enquiries to city hall.” And, it would not result in a hit to the city hall payroll, stressed Jackson.
