SELLING!! DRIFTIN ON THE BAY ~ 12 yr old gelding Original bloodline is DRIFTWOOD (foaled in 1932) * Known as “Speedy” Driftwood made a name for himself as a rodeo horse in the late 1930s. Rodeo cowboys calf roped, team tied, steer roped and bulldogged off the stallion. He built a reputation for siring rodeo and ranch horses. Driftwood was inducted into the AQHA Hall of Fame and was named #5 out of the top 10 for ranch horse bloodlines by the Western Horseman in 2007. Driftin on the Bay (Drifter) is a forward moving and sensitive horse with a quick start. We have put 30 days of foundation training on him and will remain in a training program 2 x week and daily exercise until sold. He was used in the past to move and sort cattle and has been on trips into the mountains. He would benefit from a strong leader with soft hands.
