SENATOR IFEANYI ARTHUR OKOWA BRINGING TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP TO DELTANS-2015-VICTOR IWEKUBA Transformational leadership according to James MacGregor Burns is a Leadership style that enhances motivation,morale,and job performance of the followers through a variety of mechanism. OKOWA whose transforming qualities has been proven at different capacities and leadership positions he held in the past and present is bringing total transformation to Delta state come 2015. His experience,ideas,and information about the state speaks volume as one cannot give out what he dont have. He knows the tenets of democracy which gives the followers a greater tasks in the act of governance thus, as a transforming leader he is idealized in the sense that he has the personality, trait and ability to make change through example,articulation of energizing vision and challenging goals. He will offer Deltans something more than just working for self gain; inspiring mission and vision and give them identity. His transformation agenda for Delta state shall be hinged on the four core element of transformational leadership. Individualized Consideration- In this regards he OKOWA will attend to Deltans needs,act as mentor or coach and listen to their concern and needs. He will give empathy and support,keep communication open and respect and celebrate the achievement or contributions of each Deltan. Intellectual Stimulation-He will encourage Deltans to be innovative and creative, new ideas and focuses on What is the problem and providing solutions. Inspirational Motivation-OKOWA will articulate a vision that is appealing and inspiring to Deltans and also challenge Deltans to come out of their comfort zone to join hands with the government for the desired transformation. Idealized Influence-OKOWA would respect and encourage them to do better in their various roles,capacities and responsibilities. Hence OKOWA as the transformation that Deltans are yearning for would work enthusiastically and optimistically to foster one Delta and total transformation of our dear stateDELTA come 2015.
