SENIOR DIVE STORE TECHNICIAN – DURBAN The Subtech Group, in operation since 1995, specializes in the provision of world class marine services throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. We are based in Durban with offices in Cape Town, Namibia, Mozambique and Mauritius. Our comprehensive services cover all aspects of diving and marine related requirements, both above and below water. We are currently seeking the services of a Senior Dive Store Technician to manage our Dive Store Department - overseeing the service provided by this Department throughout sub-Saharan Africa as well as supplying and maintaining all Company dive assets and equipment spread between the Group’s branches and work sites, ensuring that all dive assets and equipment is certified and maintained to IMCA requirements and standards Key performance areas include: Responsible for the supervision and control the dive store stock items Responsible for supervision and maintenance of the dive system from a logistical perspective Supervise and maintain the dive systems and equipment to IMCA standards Ensure all dive systems and equipment certification done to IMCA standards Manage / follow up on any dive systems and diving equipment that are located in other Subtech branches or on sites outside of South Africa ensuring that they are kept in working order and correctly certified at all times as per above Supervision of work activities of Dive Store Technician/s The successful candidate will meet the following minimum criteria: Possess a technical qualification post Grade 12 Must be a certified KMB Hat Technician A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Dive Technician Be computer literate Be able and prepared to work overtime as and when required Be able to travel as and when required Successfully adapt to changing demands and conditions Able to maintain effective work behaviour in the face of setbacks or pressure. Deals with pressure calmly. Able to organize and schedule activities and resources.
