SENIOR DOG LOVERS PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT TARA…. We were contacted by a son dealing with his mother in hospice. They can no longer care for this 11 years young super sweet girl and have had her since she was a puppy. We would like to bring Tara into our Pets Peace of Mind program for terminally ill individuals who have no place for their beloved pets. Please help us help Tara land softly and well. Here is what we know about her: Tara is an 11 year old Labbie mix weighing approximately 65lbs. No one can believe she is as old as she is given her energy and enthusiasm for life. She is in excellent health and up to date on vaccines. Tara is crate trained, leash trained, and housebroken. She has been around dogs big and small and gets along with all of them. She loves kids but you need to be mindful of her labbie constantly in motion tail for the younger ones. We dont know how she is with cats. Her temperament is true to a labs as she is good natured, sweet and loves to be outside but is wonderful and calm inside. Untrue to a Labs characteristics: she cant swim even though she loves the water. We know adopters of senior dogs are a special and small group.
