SENIOR GENERAL MANAGER: INTERNAL AUDITINGTotal Flexible remuneration package: R 1 201 713 p.a. (All inclusive package)(Ref. No. KZNPT 14/55)PURPOSE: To manage the provisioning of an effective and efficient transversal internal auditing services throughout the province in terms of legislative mandates.REQUIREMENTS: Post graduate degree with Accounting and Auditing as major subjects. At minimum of 6 years senior management experience in an Internal Auditing environment of which 3 years must be at a General Manager level. Driver’s license.KEYPERFORMANCE AREAS: Oversee the promotion and good governance through effective risk and advisory services in terms of legislative mandates. Oversee the provisioning of assurance services in terms of legislative mandates. Oversee the provisioning of forensic investigation service throughout the province. Oversee the provisioning of strategic executive support service. Provide independent assurance and consulting services to public entities and municipalities to assist the CEO’s and Municipal Managers. Ensure the effective, efficient and economical management and utilization of resources allocated to the Internal Audit branch as outlined as outlined in the legislative framework for good governance.COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Detailed knowledge of public sector, local government and public/private entities systems and relevant legislation, statutes. Constitution, PFMA and Treasury Regulations, MFMA, PSRF( Public Service Regulatory Framework), Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
