SEPARATED & SCREAMING If you watched the video of Lizzy not being able to stand up on her own this morning. You should watch this one to see her walk, or in this case pace. Since being weaned Lizzy has been with Princess (Priscilla) and is not very happy about being separated. It breaks my heart to hear her cry but its necessary. Tonight she is in the Rayne Suite - a rambling three stall ranch style home with a fluffy bed of 10 straw bale & 10 bags of shavings. Hopefully when she decides to lay down tonight she will not have the pressure her full weight on the hard ground as not to aggravate the pressure sores she is already developing. She is entering into a management plan for special needs and cant stay with her blonde friend any longer. Were pairing off the other two so they can join the main herd in the pasture since they are healthy and fit. We put Rayne and Lizzy into the barnyard together today to get them used to each other. Rayne is spending the night in her other stall (a 12 x12 with a fluffy straw & shavings bed in case she wants to lie down but we left her door open so she can go out if she feels like it and will have the whole barnyard to herself. If this is anything like Raynes issues, we know we may in for a long hard ride, will be saying extra prayers and wait to see what the morning brings
