SEPTEMBER 2014-2017 INTAKE The Colleges of Chilangoma, Mzimba Amalika and Dowa invite applications from interested young Malawians to start a training which upon completion will lead to the award of a T2 Certificate. The training will take place at the above mentioned Teacher Training Colleges in Blantyre Rural, Thyolo and Dowa respectively. DURATION The training will take three years which includes bus travelling to various countries in the African continent. This will require each student to have a valid Malawian passport QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES All those who are aspiring to be trained as primary school teachers should have the following: 1. Malawi School certificate of Education with credit in English, passes in Mathematics and any other science subject 2. Be prepared to work in the rural primary schools CURRICULUM The curriculum prepares the teacher for the rural primary school through the practical work, cooperation with the community and many responsibilities. The colleges follow the Ministry of Education Teacher Training Curriculum FEES Successful candidates will be required to pay K 370 000 as school fees which includes medical fee for the entire training. This amount might change and the candidates will be advised during the interviews.
