SEVEN DAY WEATHER FORECAST FROM 1ST – 7TH JULY 2013 GENERAL SITUATION: AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH IN THE NORTH-CENTRAL GULF OF MEXICO WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT TROPICAL MOISTURE ACROSS THE WESTERN BAHAMA ISLANDS AS IT DRIFTS WESTWARD. A NEAR STATIONARY UPPER LEVEL LOW MEANDERING EAST OF THE TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS WILL BEGIN TO DRIFT WESTWARD ACROSS THE BAHAMA ISLANDS WEDNESDAY BEFORE EXITING EARLY FRIDAY. MEANWHILE A FAIRLY STRONG SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE CENTER IN THE WESTERN ATLANTIC OCEAN WILL HELP MAINTAIN BREEZY TO OCCASIONALLY WINDY CONDITIONS ACROSS THE ISLAND CHAIN THROUGH THE ENTIRE FORECAST PERIOD. Monday 1st – Mostly Sunny, Breezy and Hot during the day with Isolated Showers and Thunderstorms mainly across the Western and Southern Islands; Maximum Temperature 90°F. Partly Cloudy and Breezy at night with few Scattered Showers and Isolated Thunderstorms; Minimum Temperature 79°F. Winds E-SE, 15-20 knots over ALL areas; Seas 4-6 feet over open waters. Small craft caution in effect for ALL areas. Tuesday 2nd – A Mix of Sun and Clouds, Breezy and Hot during the day with pockets of Scattered Showers and Isolated Thunderstorms; Maximum Temperature 90°F. Mostly Cloudy and Breezy at night with occasional Scattered Showers and Thunderstorms; Minimum Temperature 79°F. Winds E-SE, 15-20 knots over ALL areas; Seas 4-6 feet over open waters. Small craft caution remains in effect for ALL areas. Wednesday 3rd – Mostly Cloudy, Breezy and Warm during the day with Scattered Showers and widely Scattered Thunderstorms; Maximum Temperature 89°F. Friday 5th – Partly Sunny, Breezy and Hot during the day with Isolated Showers and a slight chance of Isolated Thunderstorms; Maximum Temperature 89°F.
