SEVEN DAY WEATHER FORECAST FROM 25th – 31ST JULY 2013 GENERAL SITUATION: A WEAK HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE WILL PREVAIL OVER THE BAHAMAS WHILE A WEAKENING UPPER LEVEL LOW TRIGGERS SHOWERS OVER PORTIONS OF THE NORTHERN ISLANDS. Thursday 25th – Partly sunny and hot with few showers with the chance of isolated thunderstorms becoming fair and warm tonight for the Northwest Bahamas and mostly sunny and hot with few showers likely becoming fair and warm tonight in the remainder of the islands. Maximum Temperature 91°F and Minimum Temperature 79°F. Winds S-SW 10-15 knots falling light and variable at times in the Northwest Bahamas, and E 10-15 knots in the central and southeastern islands. For all areas seas 2-4 feet over the ocean. Friday 26th – Partly sunny with few showers or isolated thunderstorms. Maximum temperature 91°F and the Minimum temperature 79°F. Winds S 10-15 knots over the Northwest Bahamas and SE 10-15 knots for the remaining islands. Seas 2-4 feet over the ocean. Saturday 27th – No significant change in weather conditions. Sunday 28th – Partly sunny with few showers or isolated thunderstorms. Maximum temperature 91°F and the Minimum temperature 79°F. Winds S-SW 10-15 knots over the Northwest Bahamas and E-SE 10-15 knots for the remaining islands. Seas 2-4 feet over the ocean. Monday 29th – Humid with a mixture of clouds and sunshine and showers and isolated thunderstorms can be expected mainly for the islands of the Northwest and Central Bahamas; mostly sunny with few afternoon showers in the vicinity of the Southeast Bahamas. Maximum Temperature 89°F. Minimum Temperature 76°F. Winds SE-S 5- 10 knots for the northwest and central islands. And E at 15 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas 1-3 feet for the Northwest & Central Bahamas and 3-5 feet elsewhere. Tuesday 30th –Partly sunny, warm, and humid with isolated showers and afternoon thunderstorm storms mainly across the Northwest Bahamas; Mostly sunny and warm with the chance of showers or isolated thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon in the central and southeast islands. Maximum Temperature 91°F. Minimum Temperature 78°F. Winds E at 10 knots in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and ENE 15-20 in the Southeast Bahamas. Small Craft Caution in effect for the Southeast Bahamas. Wednesday 31st Mostly sunny at first becoming cloudy with some showers and isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon. However, most of the shower activity will occur mainly in the vicinity of the Southeast Bahamas. Maximum temperature 89°F and Minimum temperature 77°F. Winds E –SE at 10 knots in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and E- ENE 15-20 knots over the Southeast Bahamas. Small craft caution in effect for the Southeast Bahamas. Seas 1-3 feet over the ocean in the NW & Central Bahamas with Seas 4-6 feet in the Southeast Bahamas.
