SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for LARGE HAILSTONES and DAMAGING WIND For people in the Mid North Coast, Hunter, Riverina and parts of the North West Slopes and Plains, Central West Slopes and Plains, South West Slopes, Lower Western, Snowy Mountains and Northern Tablelands Forecast Districts. Issued at 7:09 pm Monday, 24 November 2014. Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones and damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Wagga Wagga, Albury, Taree, Tamworth, Gunnedah and Narrabri. Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Central Tablelands and Upper Western districts and the warning for these districts is CANCELLED. A wind gust of 98 km/h was recorded at Swan Hill at 2:07pm. A wind gust of 98 km/h was recorded at Williamtown at 4:48pm. A wind gust of 93 km/h was recorded at Tamworth at 6:17pm. 30mm was also recorded in Deniliquin! Map: NSW/VIC lighting tracker by Weatherzone.
