SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued by Environment Canada for the following counties in Nova Scotia: • Annapolis County • Kings County Severe thunderstorm conditions possible - early evening to evening. Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing heavy rain. A line of thunderstorms from West Dalhousie to Kentville have the potential to produce locally heavy downpours. Thunderstorms are expected to weaken later this evening. Strong wind gusts are also possible. Intense lightning is likely with any storm that develops. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Be prepared for severe weather. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. In Canada, lightning kills up to 10 people every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors. - Robert
