SEVERE WEATHER BULLETIN No. 11 Tropical Cyclone Warning: Typhoon "#LabuyoPH" Issued at 5:00 AM 12 August 2013 (Valid for broadcast until the next bulletin to be issued at 11AM today) Typhoon “Labuyo” has made landfall over Casiguran, Aurora early this morning. Location of eye/center: At 4:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon “LABUYO” was located based on all available data at 45 km West of Casiguran, Aurora (16.2°N, 121.7°E). Strength: Maximum winds of 165 kph near the center and gustiness of 200 kph. Movement: Forecast to move West Northwest at 22 kph. Forecast Positions: Typhoon “LABUYO” is expected to be at 300 km Northwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur by tomorrow morning or outside the PAR. Public Storm Warning Signal #3 (Winds of 101-185kph is expected in at least 18 hrs): Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union,Pangasinan, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and Northern Aurora Public Storm Warning Signal # 2 (Winds of 61-100kph is expected in at least 24 hrs): Calayan and Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales, Tarlac, Rest of Aurora and Nueva Ecija Public Storm Warning Signal # 1 (Winds of 45-60 kph is expected within the next 36 hours): Batanes, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Northern Quezon including Polillo Island, Laguna, Cavite, and Metro Manila •Public Storm Warning Signal elsewhere are now lifted. •Estimated rainfall amount is from 10 – 25 mm per hour (heavy - intense) within the 600 km diameter of Typhoon. •Residents in low lying and mountainous areas under signal #3,#2 & #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas under signal #3 and #2 are alerted against storm surges. •Typhoon “Labuyo” will enhance the Southwest Monsoon which will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains over Southern Luzon and Western Visayas. • Fishermen especially those using small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the western and southern seaboards of Southern Luzon and the seaboards of Visayas due to big waves generated by Typhoon “Labuyo”. •The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today #ingat_poh_sa_mga_affected_ng_bagyo #adiksau gandang morning tambayers and visitors
