SEWAS BY SAI KRISHNA DHAM, NEW DELHI: Packing & Courier sewa Sai Krishna Dham’s packing and courier team is eveready for service. They are like Santa Claus and his Elves always packing items to be sent to bring a smile on the face of the needy. The various things being packed are : 1. Old clothes given to us are washed, ironed and packed for distribution to various needy organizations. But before packing they are thoroughly checked for : a) They are in good condition. b) Made into sets like shirts and pants, tops and skirts etc. c) Dispatched to areas outside Delhi like Shirdi, Orissa, Haridwar. d) Cartons are made, packed, sealed and then labelled. e) These are sent through transport and tracked for delivery. 2. ‘Sai Krishna Dham’ newspapers are folded, packed in transparent polybags, stickers and addresses put and around thousands of couriers are sent within Delhi and outside. 3. Other print material like Sai Krishna Dham’s pamphlets, circulars, cards of events are folded and 2500 of these distributed in areas around Paschim Vihar(B1 Paschim Vihar-300, Bg1Paschim Vihar-300,B2-Passchim Vihar-300, Jwalaheri -400,A-4 Paschim Vihar -400, Multan Ngr-300, B-4-250,Punjabi Bagh -300). They are also distributed to over 30 Sai Mandirs all over Delhi. For this around 5000 packets are made every month. 4. Baba’s udi, oil from jyot in ‘Shirdi’ and jal served to Baba as Bhog in gold glass in Shirdi is given to devotees regularly. These are packed in small plastic bottles, put in small polybags and then distributed on Thursday once a month. 5. Sai Bhajan & Dhun CDs are made and packed for free distribution to devotees on Thursday every alternate month. So all these items are given to Sai devotees but a lot of effort is being done behind the scenes by Sai Dham ‘packers & movers’ for which they deserve a pat on their back. Achievements: • Earlier it was being done single handedly but now an entire team has been made for this sewa. • The number of items being packed and sent has increased manifold. • Transportation of goods is also being taken care of under this project.
