SFPD Arrest Bank Robbery Suspect. On December 16, 2014 at approximately 4:45pm, San Francisco Police responded to the 1800 block of Irving Street regarding a bank robbery that just occurred. The teller stated the bank robber handed her a demand note and she complied. The suspect took the currency and fled the scene in a vehicle. This suspect’s description was similar to those obtained from other recent bank robberies in the “Chuck Taylor Bandit” series. Responding officers were able to obtain a still photo of the suspect vehicle from the bank’s video surveillance system. The photo was distributed by text message to other officers in the field via department issued cell phone in an attempt to locate and identify the suspect. Later that same evening, San Francisco Police officers continuously searched for the suspect vehicle and located it along the Geary Street corridor. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Upon further investigation, it was determined the suspect was connected to numerous bank robberies throughout San Francisco. 39 year old San Francisco resident Daniel King was arrested and booked for the above bank robbery on Irving Street. He has further been charged with seven other bank robberies and three attempted bank robberies of locations throughout the city. King’s booking photo will not be released at this time due to pending identification matters.
