SGT Dominick J. Licari Frankfort Word has been received that the remains of SGT Dominick J. Licari, 31, of Frankfort have been repatriated by the US Casualty Recovery Team in New Guinea. SGT Licari was killed in action on Monday, March 13, 1944 while serving with the US Army Air Corps, 312th Bombardment Group, 389th Bombardment Squadron in New Guinea when he and his Pilot 2nd Lt. Valerie L. Pollard and their aircraft were lost during a mission fighting the Japanese. He will be transported from New Guinea back to his home town of Frankfort, NY where he will be laid to rest. His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 SecondAve. Frankfort and are incomplete at this time. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Sgt.
